According to the sources, Musk privately asked for 20% of job cuts because its quarterly vehicle deliveries fell by that much. It is worth noting that Tesla is facing one of its worst financial circumstances, with declining sales and profitability that are down 55% year over year. In addition to dealing with the declining demand for EVs worldwide, the corporation is facing more competition in China and the US.In an attempt to establish Tesla as a pioneer in autonomous driving, Musk has also been downplaying the companys auto business while teasing the release of a fully driverless robotaxi later this year.
