Auto News: KTM has launched its most affordable bike in India, the new 160 Duke, priced at ₹1.85 lakh ex-showroom. It is the brand's most affordable motorcycle and is a smaller model than the KTM 200 Duke in the company's lineup. This bike will give tough competition to the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha MT-15 V2.0, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
Currently, KTM India has the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, KTM 890 Duke R, KTM 390 Duke, KTM 250 Duke, and KTM 200 Duke. Earlier KTM also sold the 125 Duke, but it was discontinued in March 2025. Now the 160 Duke is the new model in this lineup.
The KTM 160 Duke is priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is offering a 10-year warranty with it, and many financing options will also be available for purchase. This bike will start reaching dealers from August 12. The company says that it is not just a normal motorcycle but a sporty bike. The sales of the Duke series have already increased a lot, and the arrival of the 160 Duke will increase it further. Also, the company is working on the RC 160, which will be the cheapest RC bike of the brand and will be launched in a few weeks.
KTM says that the new 160 Duke has been designed under the brand's special philosophy. It is a 160 cc naked bike, which has a great combination of high performance and a premium sporty look. The bike has a signature KTM LED headlamp, sharp tank cover, wide fuel tank, sleek tail section, and LED taillight.
The paint scheme will have orange-black and blue-white (with orange highlights) color options. The bike has a 5.0-inch LCD instrument cluster, which has features like smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call receipt, and music play.
The new 160 Duke is being described as India's most powerful 160cc bike. It has a 160cc liquid-cooled engine, which is taken from the platform of the 200 Duke. This engine gives a power of 18.74 bhp and a torque of 15.5 nm.
The same engine and chassis will also be used in the upcoming KTM RC 160. The bike has USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. For braking, there are 320 mm disc brakes at the front and 230 mm disc brakes at the rear.
