Auto News: KTM India has quietly launched the 2025 model of the RC 200 in the domestic market, priced at ₹2,54,028, reflecting an increase of around ₹12,000. Despite the price hike, the bike comes with several significant upgrades that make it stand out. The most notable change is the new TFT instrument cluster, borrowed from KTM’s 390 Duke and 250 Duke models. Along with this, the switchgear has been updated to ensure smooth and seamless operation of the advanced display. However, cruise control is still missing from this update. The KTM RC 200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 24.65 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, providing smooth and responsive shifts. This bike perfectly balances power and control, making it an ideal choice for riders looking for thrilling performance combined with precision handling.
The RC 200 is built on a split trellis tubular frame connected to a bolt-on subframe. At the front, it sports WP APEX upside-down forks, while the rear features a WP APEX monoshock that offers 10 levels of adjustability for a customized riding feel.The fuel tank capacity is 13.7 liters, allowing for longer rides without frequent refueling stops. With a seat height of 835 mm and a weight of 160 kg, the bike offers an agile yet comfortable ride.
Besides the new LCD instrument cluster, the RC 200 boasts full LED lighting for improved visibility and style. For stopping power, the bike is equipped with a 320 mm front disc brake featuring a radial-mounted caliper, and a 230 mm rear disc with a floating caliper. Safety is further boosted by a dual-channel ABS system that includes a Supermoto mode, offering improved control in diverse riding scenarios.
KTM recently introduced an updated version of the 390 Duke in India, priced at ₹2.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant comes with new color options and the much-awaited cruise control feature, along with redesigned switchgear on the left handlebar. Previous 390 Duke color options included Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue, adding to its sporty character. With its powerful engine, advanced features, and aggressive design, the KTM 2025 RC 200 has shaken up the sports bike segment in India.
