Oben Electric is all set to bring the updated version of its Rorr EZ electric bike to the Indian market on August 5. This launch follows nine months after the earlier EZ model was introduced in November 2024. Along with the official launch, Oben has confirmed that bookings for the new model will also open on the same day. Deliveries, however, will begin from August 15.
The company has shared a teaser image of the new model, giving a glimpse of what it will look like. The preview suggests that the overall design will remain close to the current version. This includes details like the round headlamp, side body panels, and alloy wheels, which will be carried forward.
In the current version, the Rorr EZ comes with three riding modes—Eco, City, and Havoc. Oben has announced that several enhancements will be introduced in this next-gen version. While they haven’t revealed the exact upgrades yet, these details are expected to be shared at the launch event.
The upgraded Rorr EZ will feature what Oben calls improved technology that aims to offer a better experience for the rider. Despite these changes, the motorcycle will still serve its purpose as a daily commuter, keeping the original practical design intact. The electric bike will continue using Oben’s lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which is known for its long life and heat resistance. According to Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) tests, the current model gives a range of 175 km per charge.
It takes around 45 minutes to charge the battery up to 80%, and the bike can reach a top speed of 95 km/h. These figures make it ideal for daily travel. The current Rorr EZ is priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), though the price may change once the updated model is launched.
