Auto News: Renowned musician Shankar Mahadevan recently purchased the MG M9 MPV. This luxury 7-seater electric car was recently launched in India. Its starting ex-showroom price is ₹69.90 lakh. A video of Shankar Mahadevan taking delivery of the car has also surfaced on social media.
In a video that surfaced on Instagram, Shankar Mahadevan is seen taking in his new car with his family. The video shows Shankar and his wife enjoying the comfort of the car in the back seat, while their children, seated in the front seats, explore the car's in-cabin features with the help of an MG employee.
Design-wise, it features a bold front end, featuring a trapezoidal mesh grille, split LED headlights, and connected daytime running lights (DRLs), giving it a modern and premium look. The video clearly shows that Shankar Mahadevan has chosen the Metal Black color for his MG M9 MPV. The MPV is also available in two other dual-tone color options: Pearl White with a black roof and Concrete Grey with a black roof.
Speaking of the interior, the MG M9 boasts a number of impressive features, including 16-way adjustable seating, eight massage options, heating and ventilation features, and a yacht-style dual sunroof. It also features 64-color ambient lighting. For music lovers, it features a 13-speaker audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier. The seats are wrapped in premium leather that provides a first-class feel during long drives. Passengers also enjoy extended legroom which adds extra comfort for families. Shankar Mahadevan's MG M9 MPV is powered by a 90 kWh NMC battery, which powers an electric motor that produces 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The MPV can travel up to 548 kilometers on a single full charge. The company also offers an 11 kW wall box charger (with standard installation) and a 3.3 kW portable charger. It also supports fast charging that brings the battery to 80% within an hour. An advanced battery management system ensures safety and long-lasting performance. Drivers get a smooth and stable ride whether on highways or busy city roads.
