Automobile News: Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) reported a 25 per cent rise in sales in September 2025 compared to the same month last year. The growth was supported by the festive season and recent GST changes that have made bikes more affordable. The company sold 1,23,550 units last month, up from 99,185 units in September 2024.

Domestic Market Drives Growth

The festive season along with the new GST 2.0 rules boosted sales. Domestic sales jumped 37 percent year-on-year to 1,05,886 units, while exports dropped to 17,664 units from 21,922 units in September 2024. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, "September has been excellent for us. Festive excitement increased demand, helping domestic sales grow 37%. GST reductions also made our two-wheelers more affordable. We hope this momentum continues during the festive period and beyond, letting more customers enjoy our motorcycles and scooters.

Strong Spare Parts Sales

SMIPL also achieved its highest-ever spare parts sales, reaching Rs 881 million in September. This marks the third month in a row with record revenue in this segment. Spare parts sales grew 17 percent year-on-year, showing strong demand from customers and increased engagement in the aftermarket.
