New Volkswagen Taigun Facelift Revealed: Sleeker Lights, Fresh Design Updates (X@volkswagenindia)
New Delhi: To further intensify the competition in the compact SUV segment, Volkswagen is preparing to launch the facelift version of its popular SUV Taigun. Many important design updates of the new Taigun have been glimpsed in the recently released teaser. The special thing is that this time the company has focused on making the look more modern and premium.
The most significant change in the teaser is visible in the front design. The new Taigun now has a connected LED headlamp setup, in which an LED light bar connects both the headlights. Apart from this, illuminated logo can also be seen in it, which gives a more premium feel to the SUV.
The updated model is also expected to feature newly designed alloy wheels. This may make the side profile of the SUV look sportier and fresher than before.
At the rear, the connected taillights have been retained, but new LED patterns and C-shaped design have been added. Due to this, the rear look of the car has become sharper and attractive.

Talking about the features, the new Tiguan is likely to get a larger digital instrument cluster, updated touchscreen and some new connected features. Apart from this, features like a panoramic sunroof can also be added, which will make it stronger in this segment.
Mechanically, not much change is expected in the SUV. Like before, 1.0 liter and 1.5 liter TSI petrol engines can be found in it. However, there is a possibility of getting a new 8-speed automatic gearbox with the smaller engine.
According to reports, the new Volkswagen Taigun facelift can be launched around April 9, 2026.
The new Tigun facelift will compete with the upcoming SUVs from Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and Tata. In such a situation, the company is trying to strengthen its hold through this update.
