Volkswagen Unveils New Taigun Model: Know Price, Features, Updates

New Delhi: Volkswagen has unveiled the new—or facelifted—model of its popular SUV, the Taigun, in India. This new Taigun features significant updates ranging from its aesthetics to its features. The new model is now more attractive and feature-loaded than ever before. The new Taigun now boasts a more premium appearance than its predecessor. The front fascia (grille) of the vehicle features an illuminated light element. Additionally, the company's logo—positioned at both the front and rear of the car—is now illuminated, glowing brightly at night. The car's bumper has been given a fresh design, and the rear tail-lights have become even more stylish. New additions include glossy black alloy wheels and new color options such as Avocado Pearl and Steel Grey.

High-Tech Cabin and Features

The car's interior has been designed to be highly high-tech. The cabin features a 25.65 cm infotainment system alongside a 26.03 cm digital instrument cluster. It also comes equipped with an AI Smart Voice Assistant that activates simply by saying, "Hello Volkswagen." The vehicle includes turn-by-turn navigation indicators and touch-based climate controls. For passenger comfort and convenience, the car offers luxury amenities such as adjustable ventilated seats, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.

Volkswagen has spared no effort in ensuring safety with the new Taigun. The Taigun has earned a 5-star safety rating, a testament to just how secure this vehicle truly is. The car is equipped with over 40 safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, and parking sensors.

The new Taigun offers two engine options, which are now improved compared to their predecessors.

1.0-liter Engine – This engine delivers 115 hp of power. It now features a new 8-speed automatic gearbox—replacing the previous 6-speed unit—which promises an even smoother driving experience.

1.5-liter Engine – This engine produces 150 hp of power and is designed for those who crave higher speeds. It is equipped with special ACT technology to optimize fuel efficiency.

The new Taigun will be available in several different variants (ranging from the Comfortline to the GT Plus Sport). However, the company has not yet announced its pricing. The company is expected to announce the prices in the near future, following which deliveries will commence.
