Firing And Stone Pelting Outside Khan Sir’s Coaching Centre In Patna, Guard Injured

Patna: There was a huge uproar outside the coaching institute of famous teacher Khan Sir in Bihar's capital Patna on Tuesday. The dispute that started between students of two coaching institutes outside Khan Classes located in Musallahpur Haat area soon turned into a violent clash. During this period, incidents of stone pelting and firing also came to light. A security guard of Khan Classes was injured in the incident and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

How did the controversy start?

According to the information, there was an altercation between the students of Khan Classes and Gyan Bindu Coaching over some issue. Within some time, students from both sides came face to face. As the dispute escalated, stone pelting started from both sides, causing chaos in the area.

Did firing create panic?

According to eyewitnesses, several rounds of bullets were also fired during the clash. On hearing the sound of gunshot, nearby shopkeepers closed their shops and passers-by ran towards safe places. The miscreants also damaged the banners put up outside Khan Classes.

What did Khan sir say?

After the incident, Khan Sir said that his institution provides education at low fees and gives better results. He alleges that due to this some people are facing problems. He said that the attackers vandalised the coaching office and also opened fire.

Khan sir claimed that the entire incident has been recorded on CCTV cameras and the footage has been handed over to the police. He has demanded from the administration an increase in security.

Did both sides make allegations?

According to Kadamkuan police station, a complaint has been given by Khan Classes that the other party opened fire. At the same time, Gyan Bindu Coaching has also been accused of firing on people from Khan Classes. Police are investigating the claims of both sides.

Have the police started an investigation?

As soon as information about the incident was received, senior Patna police officers reached the spot. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby and identifying the people involved in stone pelting and violence.

Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma said that at present the investigation of the case is going on. The injured guard is being treated and along with his statement, the statements of the local people are also being recorded.

Is there tension in the area? 

After the incident, there was an atmosphere of tension in Musallahpur Haat area. Additional police force has been deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Officials say that after the completion of the investigation, strict action will be taken against the culprits.
