Patna: The Musallahpur Haat area of Patna, the capital of Bihar, is in the news these days due to the dispute between two famous coaching operators. On one hand, there is Khan Sir, famous across the country for his unique teaching style and social media popularity, and on the other hand, Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy. In recent times, the dispute between the two parties has increased and has now reached police action, FIR, arrest and court. However, this conflict is not the result of any single incident, rather it is said to be due to years-old competition, a race to hold on to the students and a fight for supremacy in the coaching market.
According to experts, the tension between the two institutions increased further when the results of Bihar Police and other competitive examinations were declared. Both the coaching institutes claimed to have a large number of successful students to their credit. Controversy also came to light regarding the topper of the Forest Range Officer (FRO) examination. Both parties described that student as their student, after which a phase ranging from social media to poster making started. Allegations and counter-allegations increased and the dispute began to come out publicly.
The Kisan Cold Storage Campus of Musallahpur Haat is counted among the biggest coaching centers of Patna. Many institutions have been operating here over the years. According to reports, many coaching classes stopped after the Covid period, while Khan sir's institute continued to expand rapidly. During this time, the discussion also intensified that competition among different institutions for influence and space on the campus is increasing. From time to time, people associated with both sides have been accusing each other of putting pressure on each other.
Sharp statements were also seen on social media between supporters and opponents of both the teachers. Roshan Anand indirectly targeted Khan sir by calling him "Reel Teacher", while Khan sir's supporters kept calling Gyan Bindu a "Daroga Factory". This terminology gradually became a symbol of the competition between the two institutions. This debate has often been a topic of discussion among students as to who has more influence in the world of online and offline coaching.
A large number of students stay in various hostels in the coaching hub of Patna. There have been allegations for a long time at the local level that students supporting coaching institutes sometimes get involved in mutual conflicts. Both sides have on different occasions accused each other of using students and supporters to put pressure on each other. Although these allegations have not been independently confirmed, the issue has come up repeatedly during the controversy.
The latest controversy is said to have allegedly started from a fight over the installation and removal of posters. After this the matter reached allegations of stone pelting, ruckus and firing. The police started investigation and took action against people associated with both the parties. Roshan Anand was arrested, while Khan Sir's name also appeared in the FIR. Now the matter is in the legal process and all eyes are fixed on the next action of the court and the investigating agencies.
Experts believe that this controversy is not just a clash between two individuals but also a story of increasing competition in the rapidly growing coaching industry of Bihar. Today Patna is counted among the big coaching centers of the country and thousands of students prepare for competitive examinations here. In such a situation, competition among institutions regarding students, results and market influence is continuously increasing. The current controversy has made the same competition a topic of discussion at the national level.
