Gold-Silver Price On August 14: Yellow, White Metal Rates Continue To Fluctuate; Check What You're Paying Today (X)
New Delhi: Gold prices have remained volatile due to the continuing conflict between the United States and Iran, creating uncertainty in markets around the world. Meanwhile, on Monday, Gold and silver prices surged in response to fresh buying interest ahead of the festive season and strong global market signals, as precious metals chalked up significant gains of up to over 1 per cent.
On the MCX, the gold futures for October month surged to a high of 0.76 per cent, or Rs1,162 to an intra-day record high of Rs 1,52,982.
The price of gold around the world, the strength of the US Dollar and how much gold jewelry people buy in a place especially during holidays all affect the value of gold. So when someone in India wants to buy gold they have to deal with prices that change because of things that happen in the economy and because of what is happening in the market at a certain time of the year like, during holidays and this affects the price of gold.
At the time of final count, the yellow metal was selling at Rs 1,52,900 gaining 0.71 per cent or Rs 1,080. It touched an intraday low of Rs 1,51,461 down 0.23 per cent or Rs 359. Meanwhile, silver futures for September contract was outshining gold moving up to 1.62 percent or Rs 3,755 to hit an intraday high of Rs 2,35,221 so far. The report also said the white metal was on a buying spree of Rs 3,427 or 1.48 per cent at Rs 2,34,893. It touched an intraday low of Rs 2,31,660, a decrease of 0.08 per cent or Rs 194.
At present, Gold rates in New Delhi are Rs 15,374 (24K), Rs 14,094 (22K), and Rs 11,534 (18K) per gram. Gold rates in Mumbai are Rs 15,359 (24K), Rs 14,079 (22K), and Rs 11,519 (18K) per gram. Gold rates in Chennai are Rs 15,514 (24K), Rs 14,221 (22K), and Rs 12,001 (18K) per gram. Gold rates in Kolkata are Rs 15,359 (24K), Rs 14,079 (22K), and Rs 11,519 (18K) per gram.
At present, the price of silver in India is Rs 254.90 per gram and Rs 2,54,900 per kg. It does not value much like gold, but among Indians and countries buying more silver jewelry, silver is a great option, not as precious as gold. The price of silver also is influenced by the world market; because the demand for silver for industrial purposes and manufacturing also has a significant influence on its price change.
