New Delhi: HPCL, BPCL and IOCL have given new rates for June 9, but made no changes. The good thing is that crude oil has become cheaper in the world. Brent crude is running at Rs 94 and WTI at Rs 91 per barrel. But we haven't got the benefit yet. Rates are stable.
The cheapest petrol and diesel is in Port Blair. Here petrol is Rs 88.66 per litre and diesel is Rs 84.56 per litre. The reason is clear – taxes are less there. The most expensive oil is in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The tax of every state is different, that is why there is so much difference in the rates.
The rate is lowest in Delhi. In the remaining three cities it is running above 100.
The rates are quite high in Rajasthan.
At present the rates are stable. But crude oil keeps going up and down every day. Therefore, the rates may increase or decrease in future. Before filling the tank, please check the rate of your city once. Even small savings help.
