New Delhi: The tension between America and Iran is not showing any sign of abating. On Tuesday, sharp statements came again from both sides and the impact was directly visible on crude oil. Brent crude rose 0.76 per cent to 96.73 dollars per barrel. WTI also stood at 94.48 dollars, with a rise of 0.72 percent. However, Indian Basket Crude fell 0.94 percent to 96.60 dollars. Even after this, government companies did not touch the rates of petrol and diesel on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The first attack took place on May 15: Petrol became costlier by Rs 3 and diesel by Rs 3.29. On May 19, petrol increased by 87 paise, diesel by 91 paise. The same story was repeated again on 23 May. The biggest shock came on May 25, petrol was made costlier by Rs 2.61 and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre.

In Chandigarh, petrol is running at Rs 101.51 and diesel at Rs 89.47. Petrol in Lucknow is Rs 101.89 and diesel is Rs 95.36. In Patna, petrol is Rs 113.37 and diesel is Rs 99.36, in Ranchi petrol is Rs 105.26 and diesel is Rs 100.49, in Bhopal petrol is Rs 114.57 and diesel is Rs 99.64.
