Where Has Suvendu Adhikari Invested His Money? LIC, NSC and KVP Details Revealed (OpenAi)
Kolkata: After BJP's historic victory in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari has taken oath as the chief minister. He has now emerged as the biggest face of Bengal politics. But amid the formation of the new government, the most talked about issue is his simplicity and limited assets. According to the election affidavit, the total assets of the new chief minister of Bengal are less than Rs 1 crore. Despite being active in politics for a long time, his investment style is considered very simple and safe.
According to the election affidavit, the total assets of Suvendu Adhikari are said to be between Rs 85 to 86 lakh. The interesting thing is that he does not have any kind of debt. It was also stated in the affidavit that before the elections he had only Rs 12,000 in cash.
Suvendu Adhikari has mostly invested his money in bank accounts, post office schemes and insurance schemes. He has deposited money in many accounts including PNB, SBI, IDBI and cooperative banks. The total amount deposited in bank and post office accounts is said to be more than Rs 8 lakh.
According to the affidavit, he has also invested in shares and bonds, but this amount is quite limited. His investment in different units and shares is around Rs 14 thousand. It is clear that he maintained distance from high-risk investment options.
Suvendu Adhikari has also invested in Kisan Vikas Patra, NSC and Post Office Saving Scheme. These plans are generally considered safe and reliable in the long run. Schemes like Kisan Vikas Patra and NSC are known to offer guaranteed returns.
The chief minister of the new government has taken seven LIC policies. An investment of lakhs of rupees has been reported in these. Investing in insurance plans is being linked to their secure financial thinking.
According to the affidavit, his income has increased continuously in the last few years. His income in 2024-25 was reported to be more than Rs 17 lakh, whereas in the previous years it was between Rs 8 and 10 lakh. This also includes the salary and other income received as a public representative.
In the country's politics, the huge wealth of leaders often becomes a topic of discussion, but the case of Suvendu Adhikari is being considered a little different. Amidst the politics of crores, relatively low wealth and trust in government savings schemes has attracted people's attention. This is the reason why the financial profile of the new Chief Minister of Bengal is now in discussion in political circles as well as on social media.
