UGC NET Answer Key 2026: NTA To Release Provisional Key Tomorrow, Here’s How To Check

New Delhi: The wait of the candidates appearing for UGC NET June 2026 exam is about to end. The provisional answer is likely to be released on August 16. After the answer key is released, candidates will be able to match the answers with their recorded responses and get an idea of the estimated score. The UGC NET exam for June session was conducted from 22 to 30 June 2026. The answer key and the objection process related to it will take place on the official UGC-NET portal of NTA.

Where will UGC NET answer key be released?

After the release of the answer key, candidates will be able to check it on the official UGC-NET portal. Answers are likely to be available as per subject and paper. Candidates are advised to download the answer key only from the official website and not to trust the link available on any unauthorised website.

How to lodge an objection to a wrong answer?

If any candidate feels that the answer to any question has been given wrongly in the provisional answer key, he/she can lodge an objection within the stipulated time. In the previous UGC NET processes of NTA, candidates were given the option to login through application number and date of birth, select relevant questions and upload material in support of their claim.

Before filing objection, candidates should carefully examine the relevant question and the evidence in support of their claim. If the prescribed fee is applicable, it will have to be deposited online.

What will happen after objection?

The objections received from the candidates will be reviewed by subject experts. After review NTA will prepare the final answer key. On the basis of this final answer key, UGC NET result and scorecard will be prepared. Therefore, candidates should avoid immediately assuming their final score after seeing any answer in the provisional answer key.

When will UGC NET Result 2026 come?

After completion of the objection process on the answer key, NTA will release the final answer key and result. Information about the score and qualifying status of the candidates will be given in the result. At present, the exact date of the result will be clear only after the official announcement.
