Amidst sexual harassment charges against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the 6-time MP may lose the opportunity to contest the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, which is likely to cost the party heavily.

According to the sources, the former national wrestling chief may not get a ticket to contest the ongoing general elections from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh, which he has represented three times. Sources claim that the BJP leader may filed his son, Karan Bhushan Singh from the constituency.

Notably, Kaisarganj will vote in the fifth phase in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and the last day to file the nomination is tomorrow. It is anticipated that the BJP may announce the name today and will end the speculation for the choice of seat. However, the official statement is still awaited.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India has been in headlines ever since the country’s top wrestlers, including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, and Sakshee Malikkh, accused him of sexual harassment of women wrestlers. Wrestlers also stage mass protests in the capital. However, the BJP leader Brij Bhushan has denied the allegations against him.
