No religion-based reservation to Muslims: PM Modi’s remark set to cause outrage

In a rally in Telangana's Medak district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a firm declaration against reservations based on religion, particularly for Muslims. He emphasized his stance that he would not permit reservations for Muslims at the expense of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress of seeking to compromise the Constitution for political gain in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He criticized the Congress for disrupting Parliament proceedings, questioning the Election Commission and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and now allegedly attempting to exploit the Constitution for their vote bank.

PM Modi expressed his confidence in celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Constitution in his third term. He highlighted his commitment to upholding the foundational principles of India's governance.

Veiled dig at Telangana CM

In a veiled attack on Telangana's chief minister, Revanth Reddy, PM Modi criticized the alleged diversion of funds collected through what he termed as the "RR tax" in the state. This reference was made in connection with the popular Telugu film 'RRR,' indicating discrepancies in fund management.

Warning against inheritance tax

PM Modi warned against the imposition of an inheritance tax by the Congress if they were to come to power. He alleged that Congress planned to levy a significant tax, claiming it could be as high as 55% on inherited wealth, particularly from parents.
