Brad Pitt Returns as a Veteran Racer

F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for Top Gun: Maverick, and stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes—a former Formula 1 driver who retired after a career-ending crash. In the film, Hayes returns to the racing world after 30 years to help a struggling F1 team.

The storyline follows Sonny as he is convinced by his old teammate Ruben Cervantes (played by Javier Bardem) to come back and help revive the failing team. The film mixes thrilling race scenes with emotional depth, as Sonny confronts his past and adapts to the modern world of motorsports.

Star-Studded Cast and Authentic Racing Experience

Actors Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Sarah Niles, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem are among the film's brilliant ensemble cast. Pitt’s character mentors a young driver, Joshua Pearce (played by Idris), and together they aim to bring glory back to the team. What sets F1 apart is its authenticity—thanks in part to its co-producer, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton, who ensured the film stayed true to real-life racing dynamics.

Powerful Music and Big Premiere

The movie also boasts a compelling soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer. With a mix of orchestral and electronic music, the soundtrack features popular artists like Ed Sheeran, RAYE, and ROSÉ, adding energy to the high-speed scenes.

The London premiere was a star-studded event, with appearances by major celebrities including Tom Cruise, further raising the film’s global appeal. F1 has quickly become a favourite for fans of both sports and cinema, with Brad Pitt’s performance winning hearts—including Deepika’s.
