'Dhurandhar 2' Advance Booking: Ranveer Singh's Film Crosses Rs 8 Crore For Paid Premiere

Just 11 days before the release, the makers have opened the advanced booking slots on various ticketing platforms for the film and it is already breaking records.

'Dhurandhar 2' advance booking: Ranveer Singh's film crosses Rs 8 crore for paid premiere in India (Instagram)

Mumbai: One of the most-awaited films of the year, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', aka 'Dhurandhar 2', will hit screens on March 19 with paid premieres on March 18. Aditya Dhar's Ranveer Singh-starrer film's advance bookings opened after the trailer dropped on Saturday. The film till now has collected around Rs 8 crore in India from advance bookings, and also sold 87,000 tickets in 24 hours. 

How many tickets are sold?

Just 11 days before the release, the makers have opened the advanced booking slots on various ticketing platforms for the film and it is already breaking records. 

According to reports, BookMyShow (BMS) alone, the film has touched 87,810 tickets within 24 hours. 

As per the early estimates as of 8 am on Sunday, the film has collected Rs 8.06 crore in India from advance bookings, and Rs 13.26 crore including block seats. 

In the country, over 1 lakh tickets have been sold, with the highest sales recorded for the Hindi version.

This strong response for the advance bookings of Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', reflects the high anticipation for the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster. 

What about worldwide collection?

The trailer of the highly anticipated film released on Saturday.

According to the reports of trade website Sacnilk, within just two hours the Ranveer Singh-starrer sold tickets worth Rs 4 crore worldwide, out of this total, Rs 2.50 crore came from PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis alone. And about 35,000 tickets were sold in two hours. 

The reports said that 'Dhurandhar 2' has already collected Rs 8.06 crore, of which  Rs 7 crore comes from the Hindi version alone, the Telugu version has earned over Rs 5 lakh, while the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have brought in Rs 4 lakh, Rs 27,000, and Rs 28,000 respectively so far. 

What's in the trailer?

The trailer of 'Dhurandhar 2' showcases Ranveer Singh in a different avatar of Jaskirat Singh Rangi. In the trailer, the battle is to see who will take over Lyari. 

'Dhurandhar 2' trailer also teases that Ranveer Singh is the next ‘Lyari ka badshah’ (king). The sequel of Dhurandhar showcases how Jaskirat handles situation from inside the gang to fight against a terror outfit. 

The trailer ends with the catchy dialogue, “Now India will decide the future of Pakistan.”

Sharing the trailer online on the social media platform, Jio Studios wrote, "Ab Pakistan ka mustakbil, Hindustan tey karega."
