Haryanavi singer Raju Punjabi took his last breath at the age of 40 in a hospital in Haryana today (August 22). Reportedly, he was hospitalised for some time and was undergoing treatment for jaundice in Hisar district.

Haryanavi singer Raju Punjabi dies at 40

When his health improved, the singer was discharged from the hospital. However, his health again deteriorated and was rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, singer KD Desi Rock shared a photo of the deceased on X (formerly known as Twitter), from the hospital bed and wrote in Hindi, “Raju wapas aaja (Raju come back).”

Since the news of Raju’s demise surfaced on the internet it shocked the netizens. They then took to their social media to extend their condolences and paid tribute to the late Haryanavi singer.

One of his fans wrote, “A great tragedy in the world of music, the king of tunes Har Dil Aziz, our dear brother Raju Punjabi ji has said goodbye to the world.” Another wrote, “Very sad news Renowned Haryanvi singer #RajuPunjabi ji is no more with us today. The father of three small children Raju Punjabi was special in the entire Haryanvi industry.”

“We will miss you legend,” said said a person. The fifth said, “We pray to the almighty to grant the departed soul a place at his feet. Om Shanti.”

Just a few days back, Raju Punjabi launched his latest hit Apse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha. Even his last Instagram post is also about this song. Raju shared a video collage on August 20 and simply wrote, “Aapse Milke Yara Humko Achha Laga.”

Raju Punjabi is known for songs such as Aacha Lage Se, Desi Desi, Tu Cheez Lajawab, Last Peg and Bhang Mere Yaara Ne, among several others. That’s not it, the singer had collaborated with Sapna Choudhary on a project.
