Indian Idol Winner And 'Paatal Lok' Actor Prashant Tamang Dies At 43 In Delhi

New Delhi: Prashant Tamang, the winner of 'Indian Idol Season 3' who later turned actor, died on Sunday at his home in New Delhi. He was 43. 

Prashant was found dead at his residence. Initial reports point to a sudden heart attack, although formal medical confirmation is still pending.

He rose from humble beginnings to national fame and touched many with his voice and screen presence. 

Born in Darjeeling on January 4, 1983, Tamang served as a constable with Kolkata Police before his singing talent brought him into the spotlight.
