Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, is contesting the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 as an independent candidate from the Karakat seat. Meanwhile, Khesari Lal Yadav, representing the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), is contesting from Chhapra. Despite being political opponents, Khesari has shown support for Jyoti. However, his recent remark calling Pawan Singh a “dancer” has deeply upset Jyoti Singh and sparked strong reactions.

Why Did Jyoti Singh React Strongly to Khesari’s Words?

Reacting sharply, Jyoti Singh urged Khesari to respect Pawan Singh. She also spoke openly about her relationship with Pawan, saying she is still recognised as his wife and will try her best not to get divorced. Even though the case is in court, she said she still considers herself Pawan Singh’s wife.

While speaking to the media, Jyoti expressed her anger over Khesari’s remarks and said, “Everyone has their own profession. Pawan ji is also doing his work. Every person works hard to move forward. You cannot call anyone such names. It feels very bad when someone says this. By calling him a ‘dancer’, you are insulting all artists, even though you enjoy their songs.”

She further added, “When you need a crowd, you call the same artists for your rallies and campaigns. So, how can you insult them? They are artists who entertain people. You cannot see them only as dancers.”

What Does Jyoti Think About Her Marriage with Pawan Singh?

She made it clear while talking about her marriage with Pawan Singh. She said, "He was, is, and will be my husband. Despite the fact that a divorce case has been filed against me, until the papers are signed, he remains my husband. She added that she will make every effort to stop the divorce, saying, “People know me by Pawan Ji’s name. Everyone calls me his wife. My identity is connected to him, and I am still his wife.”
