Veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after complaining about chest pain on Saturday morning. According to sources, the actor was feeling uneasy, following which he was taken to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. No confirmation from Mithuns familyThe actors family is yet to react to the reports of his hospitalisation, and the hospital has also not issued any statement so far. Honoured with Padma Award recentlyMithun, who was last seen as a judge in the dance reality show Dance Bangla Dance along with Mouni Roy, Subhashree Ganguly, Srabanti Chatterjee and Puja Banerjee, was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in January 2024. About Mithun ChakrabortyMithun Chakraborty has acted in around 350 films in Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Bhojpuri, and Tamil, among other Indian languages. He was last seen in the Bengali film Kabuliwala. It was released in the theatres in December 2023. The film has been directed by Suman Ghosh.
