Salman Khan Opens Up About Battle of Galwan (Social Media)
Sports News: With every passing year, shooting and preparing for an action movie is getting tougher, feels veteran Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The actor is currently preparing for his role in the much-anticipated film, 'Battle of Galwan'. It is one of the most physically demanding movies of his career. Salman, who turns 60 in December this year, is putting his heart and soul into "Battle of Galwan", directed by Apoorva Lakhia of "Shootout at Lokhandwala" fame. The highly anticipated army-based movie revolves around the 2020 Galwan Valley confrontation between India and China.
The actor told the mediaedia that every passing month, it gets difficult. "It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult. I've to give more time now Earlier, I would do it in one or two weeks; now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all that stuff. This film demands that," Salman said..
"For instance, in 'Sikandar',, the action was different, and and the character was different. But this is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, at high altitude and in cold water" he added.
The actor said that the shooting of the film will be done in Ladakh, and the crew will head to the location later this month. "When I was signing the film, I thought it was amazing, but it's a very, very difficult film to do. I've 20 days in Ladakh and then seven to eight days in cold water. We will be shooting this month," said Salman.
According to the filmmakers, the film is based on one of India's hardest conflicts, which took place at nearly 15,000 feet above sea level without firing a single bullet.
Twenty Indian Army men died in the Galwan Valley conflict in June 2020, which was the most significant battle between India and China in decades. "Battle of Galwan" will not be released on Eid, as is customary for Khan's flicks, but rather in January, according to Salman.
