Pakistani Star Zeba Bakhtiar’s Roller-Coaster Love Life: Four Marriages and A Bollywood Chapter (Youtube)
Mumbai: Veteran Pakistani actress Zeba Bakhtiar shot to fame in India with the 1991 hit 'Henna', opposite Rishi Kapoor. The film made her a familiar name across South Asia and remains one of her most remembered performances.
Zeba’s personal life has been as eventful as her screen career. She has been married four times, and all her unions ended in divorce.
Her first marriage was in 1985 to Salman Valliani in Pakistan, before she stepped into showbiz. That relationship lasted roughly a year.
In 1989, Zeba married Indian actor Jaaved Jaaferi. At the time, she had not yet made her Bollywood debut, and the couple remained together for about a year before parting ways amid public interest in their private lives.

Her third marriage was to singer-composer Adnan Sami in 1993. The pair worked together and welcomed a son, Azaan Sami Khan, now a music composer himself. Despite early promise, the marriage lasted about four years and ended in 1997. Following the split, Zeba and Adnan engaged in a year-long legal battle over custody of their son.

Zeba’s fourth and final marriage was to Sohail Khan Leghari in 2009. That union also lasted for only about a year before ending in divorce.
Zeba’s breakthrough in 'Henna' brought her international attention, but she did not replicate that success in Bollywood later. After a handful of films, she returned to Pakistan’s entertainment scene.
Her relationships with high-profile figures like Jaaferi and Sami often kept her in the headlines, but Zeba has continued her work in television and film back home in Pakistan.
Today, Zeba Bakhtiar remains active in Pakistani entertainment and is respected for her early work and resilience through personal ups and downs.
