Sachin, Sehwag, Yuvraj & Others From Indian Cricket Fraternity Mourns Dharmendra’s Demise (X @YUVSTRONG12)
New Delhi: The legendary actor Dharmendra passed away in Mumbai on November 24. After the demise of actor tributes poured in from all across the globe. Many personalities from the Indian cricket fraternity also expressed their grief for the veteran actor.
From Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag to Harbhajan Singh and many others from the cricket community expressed deep sorrow on the demise of the He-Man of the Bollywood.
The veteran actor who was earlier admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai, was discharged on November 12. But unfortunately, the actor took hi last breath today in Mumbai.
Sachin Tendulkar took to his X and wrote, "I, like many others, took an instant liking to Dharmendra ji, the actor, who entertained us with his versatility. That on-screen bond became stronger off-screen when I met him. His energy was incredibly infectious, and he would always tell me, “Tumko dekhkar ek kilo khoon badh jaata hai mera.”

He added, ''He had an effortless warmth, making everyone around him feel valued and special. It was impossible not to be a fan of the person he was. Today, my heart feels heavy with his passing. Aisa lagta hai jaise mera 10 kilo khoon kam ho gaya hai. Will miss you."
Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh in his X post wrote, "Every home had a favourite Dharmendra film. He was a part of our growing up and of Indian cinema’s finest years. He brought strength, charm and honesty to every role, and carried Punjab’s warmth wherever he went.''

India’s World Cup-winning all-rounder Deepti Sharma, shared a picture of the veteran actor on her Instagram handle and, wrote, “Dharmendra Ji was not just a film star but a true hero, who made us all believe that you can dream and achieve with love in your heart! We all will miss him! Om Shanti.”
Meanwhile, former India batter Virender Sehwag wrote on X, “Dharmendra ji was not just an actor, he was an era. A star in simplicity, a He-Man in strength, and gold at heart. His films, his style, and his warmth will be remembered for generations. A great artist, may God grant peace to his soul. Om Shanti.”
Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan wrote, “You stood tall, not just in stature, but in spirit. Dharmendra ji, thank you for showing us strength can be kind. Om Shanti.”
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh wrote a heartfelt note on X, and said, “Heartfelt tribute to Dharmendra Ji — a timeless icon whose grace, strength, and unparalleled charm have left an everlasting mark on Indian cinema. From his powerful performances to his warmth both on and off screen, he touched countless hearts and inspired generations. His films, his smile, and his spirit will forever remain etched in our memories. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”
Former cricketer Kedar Jadhav wrote, “The end of an era. Bollywood’s beloved He-Man, Dharmendra Ji, is no more. The veteran actor was born in 1935 in Punjab. He started his acting career in the early 1960s. The Heman of Bollywood was a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, which is India's third-highest civilian award.
