New Delhi: Film maker Sandeep Vanga Reddy who made headlines with his blockbuster film 'Animal' recently revelead during an interview that South actress Sai Pallavi was the first choice for the film 'Arjun Reddy' opposite Vijay Deverakonda. Sandeep Vanga Reddy said during an event in Hyderabad where the makers have hosted a Pre-Release party for the upcoming film 'Thandel'.

'Sai Pallavi was my first choice for 'Arjun Reddy'

Yes, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently revealed in an interview that Sai Pallavi was his first choice for the female lead in 'Arjun Reddy'. However, she turned down the role because she was uncomfortable with certain aspects of the character and film. Vanga mentioned that Sai Pallavi was very particular about her on-screen image and even avoided wearing sleeveless outfits at the time, making it difficult for her to fit into the role of Preethi, which was eventually played by Shalini Pandey.

'I admire her natural acting and screen presence'

This revelation has sparked discussions among fans about how different 'Arjun Reddy' might have been if Sai Pallavi had starred opposite Vijay Deverakonda. However, despite her absence from the film, she later went on to establish herself as one of the most talented and respected actresses in South Indian cinema.

He also added that he admired her natural acting and screen presence, which is why he initially wanted her to play Preethi in 'Arjun Reddy'. However, as she was not comfortable with certain aspects of the role, she declined the offer.
