New Delhi: Hindu religious guru Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has slammed Shah Rukh Khan, asserting that the is not a hero in real life and has no character. According to the religious guru, Shah Rukh Khan has no character. Furthermore, the Jagadguru called the Mahakal temple being built by Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal an election gimmick.
The Jagadguru was giving his opinion on the purchase of Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman by Indian Premier League (IPL) outfit Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) amidst the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
"This is unfortunate. He is not a hero. He has no character, his stance has consistently been anti-national," Jagadguru told the media.
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya is not the first person to target Shah Rukh Khan recently. Earlier, spiritual gurus Devkinandan Thakur and Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri had also made statements against him.
The reason behind all this criticism is Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) buying Mustafizur Rahman despite the ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
With the next edition of the IPL to be held in March 2026, Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have included Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman in their squad. Rahman is the only Bangladeshi player to be sold in the IPL auction.
However, in light of the ongoing violence in Bangladesh and reports of attacks on Hindus, the KKR management is facing considerable criticism on social media.
Amidst all the speculation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clarified that no restrictions will be placed on Bangladeshi players.
