Sussanne Khan's Mother Zarine Khan Passes Away At 81 In Mumbai (Instagram @viralbhayani)
New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, Zarine Khan, mother of Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan, passed away at the age of 81 on November 7 in Mumbai. As per reports, she passed away due to age-related illness. Zarine is survived Sanjay Khan and four children - Sussanne Khan, Farah Ali Khan, Simone Arora, and Zayed Khan.
News of her demise was confirmed by photographer Viral Bhayani. Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote, ''The 81 year old Zarine Khan, who happens to be the celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Khan’s wife is no more.''
He added, ''She took her last breath at her Mumbai residence. Reports state that, Zarine ji had been suffering from age-related ailments for sometime now. The late Zarine is survived by her husband and children Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan and Zayed Khan.''
Soon after hearing the news of her demise, several celebrities from the visited her residence to pay their last repect. Jaya Bachchan along with Shweta Bachchan visited Zarine Khan’s residence to pay their last respects. Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin also visited there.
It is to be noted here that Hrithik and Sussanne fell in love with each other at a young age. Talking in an interview with Filmfare in 2012, Zarine had said, “When Sussanne was at her ugliest worst with her two front teeth protruding, a young Duggu (Hrithik Roshan) had told his friends, ‘She’s the girl I’ll marry’. He’s been with Sussanne from the days he had a stutter and never imagined being a star. She was the one who pushed him and guided him, they’ve grown together.”
Further talking about Hrithik and Sussanne's marriage, she said, “When Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, had not released, Sussanne pledged a vow of abstaining from sweets for Hrithik’s success. Hrithik honoured his commitment to her and married her soon after the release.”
It is to be noted here that Hrithik also visited Sussanne's mother's residence to pay his last respect.
