UPSC CSE result announced, 958 candidates successful for 1087 posts, 258 in reserve list

New Delhi: Anuj Agnihotri has topped the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. The final results of the UPSC CSE 2025 were announced on Friday. Rajeshwari Suve M secured second place and Akansh Dhull secured third place. The Commission stated that a total of 958 candidates have been declared successful for 1,087 posts this year. Of the 958 selected candidates, 317 are from the General category, 104 from the EWS category, 306 from the OBC category, 158 from the SC category, and 73 from the ST category. The candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional. The results of two candidates have been withheld. The Commission has placed 258 candidates on the reserve list, which includes 129 from the General category, 26 from the EWS category, 86 from the OBC category, eight from the SC category, six from the ST category, one from the PwBD-1 category, and two from the PwBD-2 category.

Candidates can seek any information/clarification regarding their examinations/recruitments by visiting the office in person or calling 23385271/23381125/23098543 between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on working days. Marks will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of results.

It should be noted that every year, lakhs of candidates aspiring to become IAS, IPS, or IFS officers appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This examination is considered the most challenging competitive examination in the country. The UPSC Civil Services Examination is used for selection to the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS), Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Railway Group A (Indian Railway Accounts Service), Indian Postal Services, Indian Postal Service, and Indian Trade Services, among other services. The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages: preliminary, main, and interview. The final merit list is released based on performance in the main examination and interview.
