New Delhi: Lakhs of Class 12 students tried to open the CBSE marks verification portal on Monday. It didn't work. Again.
The screen just showed one line: "Site is under updation and will be available soon."
No new date announced yet for any further related information.
CBSE had first said the portal would open on May 29. Then they pushed it to June 1. Students waited. June 1 came. Portal still didn't open.
Many students had their documents ready. They were prepared. And then they got nothing.
This portal is not available for every student. Only those who already applied for and received their scanned answer sheets can use this portal.
These students can point out specific questions where they feel marks were wrongly given. They can't ask for a full re-check. They have to explain, question by question, why they deserve more marks.
Subject experts then look at those specific answers and will decide based on the answers written on sheets and and updated results will be declare further if required.
This year, CBSE used a system called On-Screen Marking (OSM) to check answer sheets digitally. Many students complained about wrong marks, missing marks and scanning problems.
The Education Ministry had to step in. They agreed that some mistakes had happened and said they would fix genuine problems.
Keep checking the official CBSE post-result activities and official website. CBSE also has a helpline and email support if you need urgent help.
As of Monday evening, CBSE had not given any new date for the portal.
