International News: For the past few days, the news of Donald Trump's death has created a ruckus on social media. Hashtags like #TRUMPISDEAD and #TRUMPDIED are trending on X. Many users claim that The Simpsons predicted Trump's death, while in reality, all this is the result of fake videos and internet myth-making. Videos circulating on the internet show a Trump-like character on the show suddenly collapsing during a live broadcast. It was claimed that the episode was later removed because it was too similar to future events. However, there is no evidence or official record of this claim. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening also joked at Comic-Con that the show will go on 'until someone dies.'
Recently, the White House had informed that President Trump has a problem called Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI), in which the veins of the legs become weak in sending blood to the heart. In July, swelling was seen in his legs and marks on his hands, after which questions were raised about his health. However, doctors clarified that this is a common and not serious condition and his heart and other reports are normal.
There were no major public events on the White House schedule last week. This unusual silence and discussions related to health deepened suspicion on social media. Meanwhile, Vice President J.D. Vance said that Trump is fully active and makes phone calls till late night. He assured that the President is healthy and will complete his term.
This is not the first time that Trump's death rumors have spread. In 2023, his son X's account was hacked and a fake death announcement was made. Similarly, a YouTuber compared his swollen palm to the last picture of Queen Elizabeth. The current viral clips are also part of the same kind of rumors and deepfakes, which people are looking at with both mockery and conspiracy.
