Tatarstan: In Russia's Tatarstan region, at least 12 people were killed and 39 injured in a Ukrainian attack on industrial and civilian targets in the city of Nizhnekamsk, where a big oil refinery is located, the mayor, Radmir Belyayev, said on Monday.
At least 12 people were killed and 39 others were wounded by a Ukrainian drone strike on two industrial and civilian facilities in the Russian region of Tatarstan's Nizhnekamsk, according to official reports.

The main facility was an oil refinery in a high state of development, said city mayor Radmir Belyayev.
According to the various Russian media outlets, in the video, smoke was seen billowing over what is presumed to be the refinery.
Ukraine attacked on the refinery of Tatneft's TANECO in early June, which processed 17 million tons of crude oil in 2024, with 2.7 million tons of gasoline and 8.5 million tons of diesel fuel.

Ukrainian head Rustam Tatarinov has declared a mourning period after the attack, Belyayev, the mayor said.
In recent months, Ukraine has intensified its attacks on Russian oil refineries in strikes that have left many regions of Russia facing fuel shortages; however, authorities claim that most of the issues have since been addressed.
