This statement has come to light when tension between India and Pakistan had increased further over the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. 40 Indian soldiers lost their lives when a suicide bomber of the Pakistan-backed terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) targeted the CRPF convoy. India had strictly responded to this attack, carrying out the Balakot airstrikes on the training camps of JEM in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
After this statement, people's reactions were also revealed on social media. Many users shared the video of Aurangzeb Ahmed and questioned whether Pakistan has really accepted the responsibility of the Pulwama attack? One user wrote, "This is the truth of Pakistan - he openly admitted his involvement in a terrorist attack, killing 40 Indian soldiers."
Similarly, another user wrote, "Pakistan has confessed now! He said that Pulwama was 'strategically luxurious'. This means that Pakistan supported terrorists and it was sponsored by the state."
Pakistan Air Force Director General of Public Relations Ahmed made this statement when foreign journalists were also involved in the press conference, which were helping to bring the statement to the world.
