Trump-Musk (Social media)

International News: Al Qaeda's Yemen branch, AQAP (Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula), has once again raised the concern of the world's security agencies. The organisation's new kingpin, Saad bin Atif al-Alaki, has released a threatening video, which states US President Donald Trump, Tesla chief Elon Musk, and other top US leaders are openly targeted. In this video of about 30 minutes long, the 'retaliation' has been justified, citing the Gaza conflict.

Photos of many American leaders including Trump and Musk, in the video

The video shows not only the pictures of Trump and Elon Musk but also warned US Vice President JD Vance, External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio and Defence Minister Pete Hegseth. Not only this, people of Musk's companies – Tesla and SpaceX – have also been included in the video. This video is becoming increasingly viral on social media and is being shared by AQAP supporters.

Announcement to end the red line on the pretext of Gaza War

Al-Awlaki said in the video, "There is no red line left now. Every answer is justified after what happened in Gaza." He spoke directly to attack America and some Arab countries and described it as a necessary step towards becoming a "protector of Muslims".

Who is Al-Awlaki?

Saad bin Atif al-Awlaki is currently the kingpin of AQAP, who replaced the terrorist commander Khalid al-Baturfi, who was killed in 2024. Due to his dangerous image in the world of terror and anti-America activities, the US has declared a huge reward of $6 million, or about Rs 50 crore. Al-Avalaki has previously been on the radar of intelligence agencies due to its inflammatory statements and an appeal for attacks on the US and its associates openly.

Is AQAP emerging again?

There was a time when AQAP (al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula) was considered the most powerful and deadly unit of the Al Qaeda network. Due to its planned terrorist actions, suicidal attacks and international conspiracies, the branch kept the global security agencies alert for a long time. Although its impact was reduced due to drone attacks and internal discord, security agencies believe that this organisation still has fighters and associates between 3,000 and 4,000. The organisation collects funds with illegal means like bank robbery, weapons smuggling, ransom and fake currency.

AQAP is making Gaza war weapons?

The Israel-Hamas War released in the Gaza Strip has rejuvenated the global terror organisations. While Iran-backed Houthi rebels are already firing missiles on Israel, now AQAP is also trying to present himself as a 'true protector' of Muslims. Yemen experts believe that Al-Alaki wants to bring himself to the image of an alternative 'religious leader' like the huts.

World community on alert

This video of Al-Awlaki is a major warning indication for the world community that the spark of global terrorism on Yemeni land is still burning. This video shows that AQAP can plan international attacks once again. The security agencies of many countries, including the US, are keeping a close watch on the activities of Al-Awlaki.
