The sensational murder of Charlie Kirk, a close aide of President Donald Trump, has reopened old wounds. Within the last one year, America has witnessed such high-profile murders or attempted murders 5 times. This list includes the names of Donald Trump himself, former House Speaker of Minnesota and Nick Fuentes.
During the presidential election, on July 13, 2024, Trump was holding a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was addressing the public meeting as a presidential candidate. During this time, 20-year-old attacker Thomas Matthew Crooks fired several rounds of bullets. It was a matter of luck that Trump survived. A bullet grazed his ear. In this firing, one person present at the rally died while many people were injured. The attacker was also killed in retaliatory firing.
Just two months after the Pennsylvania attack, Donald Trump was targeted once again. On September 15, Trump was allegedly attacked for the second time. A heavily armed pro-Ukrainian shooter was seen outside the US President's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Secret Service arrested him. His name was Ryan Routh.
