Charlie Kirk, a close aide of President Donald Trump, was shot dead during a debate show at the University of Utah on September 10. The accused, Tyler Robinson, was arrested soon after the incident. Kirk’s killing has created waves across America, sparking debates between liberals and conservatives over who should take responsibility. For many, his death represents a dark moment in U.S. political life, raising questions about growing hostility in public spaces.
Despite the arrest, several wild theories emerged. Some speculated Mossad, MAGA supporters, or far-right Christian groups like the Groypers were behind the killing. Experts say such theories are fueled by the old propaganda idea that “the bigger the lie, the faster it spreads.” Analysts believe the lack of evidence shows these claims are politically motivated and not based on facts.
Netanyahu directly addressed these conspiracy theories on social media. “The claim that Israel was behind Kirk’s murder is false, absurd, and shameful,” he wrote. The Prime Minister said that someone deliberately fabricated this story to tarnish Israel’s image. He urged people not to believe such lies and instead focus on honoring Charlie Kirk’s legacy.
In his tribute, Netanyahu described Kirk as a once-in-a-century personality. He said Kirk was a strong voice for freedom, America, and Judeo-Christian values. According to Netanyahu, Kirk loved Israel and the Jewish people. He even shared that Kirk had recently written him a letter expressing admiration for the country. “Charlie’s passing is a huge loss for all of us,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu revealed he had spoken with Kirk just two weeks before the murder. He had invited him to visit Israel soon, a trip that will now never happen.
