International News: The Turk, whom China calls a friend on public forums, spying on it has been caught by his detectives. Turkey's intelligence agency, MIT (National Intelligence Organization), has arrested seven Chinese civilians who were running a high-tech cyber espionage network. These detectives were spying not only through the Ghost Base Station, i.e., fake mobile towers, but also on the Uyghur Muslims living in Turkey.
Turki's security agency suspected when some mobile users complained that they were getting fake SMS in the name of government agencies. When MIT conducted a technical investigation, it was revealed that these SMS were being sent not from the real mobile network but from fake mobile towers. From here the investigation took a dangerous turn.
The MIT investigation revealed that the equipment used for espionage was smuggled to different parts from China and brought to Turkey. If a person brought an antenna, someone had a battery and signal processor. The entire network was carried out like a professional intelligence agency.
The arrested Chinese spies were not limited to Istanbul only but were active in the five major cities of Turkey: Istanbul, Izmi, Manisa, Balikesir, and Bursa. The names of the arrested people are
MIT said that these detectives intercepted people's calls, locations, and personal information to the server of China. After this, credit card details were stolen by sending phishing links to those citizens, and payments were also made with fraud.
After this development, once again questions have been raised about China's alleged friendship and real intentions. The monitoring of Uyar Muslims in the Turkic countries and the espionage of the high officials of the government show the extent to which China goes to the internal affairs of other countries. This detective conspiracy of China is a warning not only for the Turks but also for the countries of South Asia and Central Asia. With the help of technology, how China is monitoring beyond borders is now in front of the world.
