International News: US President Donald Trump is a little too kind to Pakistan these days. His kindness has even put India-US relations in danger. Despite this, Trump is not ready to back down. Rather, he has started a tariff war against India. Trump has made a big deal with Pakistan regarding the exploration and extraction of crude oil. Trump's level of arrogance is so high that after this deal he said that, who knows, one day Pakistan will export oil to India. However, Pakistan itself does not know where so much oil is hidden in its country.

Earlier, Trump had lunch with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir at the White House. In such a situation, know what the factors are that have changed Trump's attitude towards Pakistan.

1. Trump's crypto game

Pakistan is stuck in a serious economic crisis. It knows that no matter how much effort it makes, it cannot access global capital. In such a situation, Pakistan has made crypto its lifeline. Pakistan has established the Pakistan Crypto Council (now the Pakistan Digital Asset Authority). This is paving the way for making and adopting rules regarding crypto in Pakistan. It is supported by Trump-backed World Liberty Financial (WLF).

The Trump family benefits directly from crypto

World Liberty Financial (WLF) is an American private entity controlled by the Trump family. It benefits the Trump family. WLF is majority owned by Trump's sons Eric and Donald Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner. The partnership aims to develop blockchain, legalize crypto trading, and launch Trump-branded tokens and blockchain projects in Pakistan. People close to Trump are already involved in this US-Pakistan crypto game. Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, who seeks a pardon from Trump after serving a prison sentence in the US, is now advising Pakistan on crypto regulations.

2. Trump's interest in Pakistan's minerals

Trump has said that the US will work with Pakistan to develop its oil reserves. He has even boasted that one day India could buy oil from Pakistan. Trump is looking at Pakistan as a potential partner. Pakistan has vast untapped reserves of oil, copper, gold, lithium, and rare earth elements. These minerals are essential for manufacturing clean energy technologies, batteries, and electronics. It is estimated that the value of Pakistan's mineral wealth could be between $8 trillion and $50 trillion.

America Reduces China Reliance Via Pakistan

One of the main reasons for Trump's interest in Pakistan could be to reduce America's dependence on China for critical minerals. China currently controls most of the world's mineral supplies. Pakistan's Balochistan region, especially the Reko Diq copper-gold mine, is seen as a major target for American companies. Eric Meyer, a senior US official considered close to Trump, met Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in April this year. During this, he made clear America's interest in exploring Pakistan's mineral resources, especially copper, gold, and lithium.

3. Trump Seeks Pakistan’s Middle East Mediation

The US does not have diplomatic relations with Iran, but Pakistan does. Pakistan also shares a border with Iran. This is why Pakistan remains important for the US. If Trump wants to reduce tensions with Iran, he can use Pakistan as a bridge between the two countries to start private talks or reduce the risks of war. Pakistan publicly criticized the US air strikes on Iran in June this year and instead called for peaceful talks. Trump has not given much importance to this and has given priority to relations with Pakistan for long-term interests. Apart from this, Trump is also trying to keep an eye on Afghanistan through Pakistan.
