Donald Trump's Shocking Reply To Australian Envoy: US President Donald Trump and the former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd turned head with their awkward conversation at the White House, recently. The White House on Monday (local time) witnessed some funny yet interesting conversations between Donald Trump and the former Australian Prime Minister.
Their conversation turned bitter when Donald Trump said that he doesn't like Kevin Rudd. Nitably, Kevin Rudd is currently Australia's ambassador to the US.
It is worthy to be mentioned here that Donald Trump and Australia had a deal after the US President signed a multibillion-dollar agreement on rare-earth and critical minerals with Australia PM Anthony Albanese on Monday. During the deal, when a reporter asked Donald Trump about Rudd's criticism of him, he replied by saying that may be Rudd would 'like to apologise'.
Soon after Trump asked Albanese that whether Rudd was still working for the Australian government. Albanese hinted towards Rudd, who was sitting nearby. Trump then directly asked Rudd, "You said bad?"
In response to Trump's question, Rudd said, "That was before I took this position, Mr President." Trump suddenly replied, "I don’t like you either. I don’t. And I probably never will." The White House erupted in laughter soon after this conversation.
Back in 2020, during Donald Trump's first term, Rudd had described the US President "the most destructive president in history" and called him "village idiot". To which Trump had responded by calling him 'nasty' and stated that he is "not the brightest bulb in the shed."
It is worthy to be mentioned here that Donald Trump and Albanese signed a USD 8.5 billion critical-minerals deal on Monday. Talking about the same, Donald Trump said, "In about a year from now we'll have so much critical mineral and rare earth that you won't know what to do with them," adding, "They'll be worth USD 2."
