Washington: US President Donald Trump has given a big hint regarding the deal with Iran. He said that the talks are on the right track and some major result can be achieved by next week. However, increasing tension in Lebanon and Israel's military action may hinder it.

Will a US-Iran deal be reached next week?

Speaking to ABC News, Trump said that there has been good progress in talks with Iran. One small hurdle still remains, but hopefully that will also be resolved. Trump says that if everything is finalised, then the agreement can be announced next week. After that, the Strait of Hormuz can also be completely opened.

Why does Trump feel that military action is a better deal?

Trump believes that the solution comes through talks rather than guns. He said that he had talked to Hezbollah leadership and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Appealed to both of them to stop firing and attacking. After that the violence in the area has reduced somewhat. Trump's aim is not just to stop the fighting. They want long-term peace in the entire area. According to him, the deal will be beneficial for everyone.

Why did Israeli military action increase in Lebanon?

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has intensified its operations on the ground in Lebanon. It is reported that Israel has also sought permission and help from America for the new action. All this is happening when America is trying to make a peace deal with Iran. Experts say that if tension increases in Lebanon, America-Iran talks could get derailed.

What is being done to bring back the ceasefire?

In the last 48 hours, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke separately to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli PM Netanyahu. There was discussion on re-implementing ceasefire and reducing tension on the border. America asked Hezbollah to stop missile and drone attacks. Told Israel to avoid further military action. Several rounds of talks have taken place between the officials of the two countries.

Can the Lebanon dispute stop the deal?

According to the report, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun is in favour of ceasefire. But a clear yes has not yet come from Hezbollah. That's why tension remains. Experts are saying that if the fighting in Lebanon increases, it will have a direct impact on the talks between America and Iran. The deal may stall.

How far have Iran-America talks reached yet?

On Monday, Trump said that talks with Iran are progressing rapidly. But recent military action and retaliatory measures by Tehran have weakened the ceasefire. Still, officials of both countries are trying to find a solution through talks. These talks are considered very important for peace in the Middle East. Now everyone's eyes are on next week to see whether a deal is made or not.
