'He Called To ‘Kiss My A**': US President Donald Trump’s Self-Focused Post On Tim Cook Sparks Buzz (X)
New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has given an interesting and self-centered statement about Apple CEO Tim Cook, just hours after announcing his resignation. On his social media platform 'Truth Social', Trump described Cook as an "amazing person" and a "great manager" but also exaggerated his role. He claimed that Cook often asked for his help and that on several occasions he made major decisions for Apple. He claimed that the Apple boss called him to "kiss his a**."
Trump said in his post that at the beginning of his first term he had received a call from Tim Cook, in which Cook described a "big problem" that only the president could solve. Trump wrote that he himself was affected by that call and he immediately resolved the matter. He also claimed that the two had a long and good relationship after this, with Cook contacting him from time to time.
In his post, Trump said Cook called him "asking for help" and called it proof of his influence. Trump also wrote that the head of Apple contacted him and tried to "cheer up." Such words have made the statement controversial, because personal claims and political style are clearly visible in it.
Referring to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Trump said that even if Jobs were alive and leading the company, Apple would not have been as successful as it was under Tim Cook's leadership. He described Jobs' career as "amazing", but also said Cook had taken the company to new heights.
Trump claimed that during his tenure he made many "big helps" for Apple. Although he did not mention this help in detail, he did say that he did not fulfill Cook's demands because sometimes Cook's demands were "too much".
Tim Cook, who took charge of Apple in 2011, is going to step down from his post this year. During his tenure, Apple not only strengthened its hold in the iPhone market but also adapted itself to the era of new technologies and artificial intelligence. Now the responsibility will be handed over to the company's senior vice president (hardware engineering), John Turnus in his place.
Experts believe that after Cook, the biggest challenge for Apple will be to maintain competition in rapidly changing technology, especially in the field of AI. In such a situation, the new leadership will have the responsibility of carrying forward the company's legacy as well as setting a new direction.
