US May Target Iran’s Underground Pickaxe Site Soon, Trump Issues Stark Warning (X)
Washington: Tension between America and Iran seems to be increasing once again. US President Donald Trump warned on Friday that America could very soon attack Iran's highly secure underground nuclear base Pickaxe Mountain. Trump said that America is keeping a close eye on every activity happening at this site.
While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump defended the ongoing US military campaign against Iran. He said that the main objective of the campaign is to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
Pickaxe Mountain is located near Natanz, Iran's major uranium enrichment center. It is believed that two large tunnel systems have been built here deep below the ground. Due to its depth and strong structure, this place is considered safer than normal air attacks.
Reports claim that Iran has moved many of its centrifuges to this deep underground complex. In such a situation, targeting this base by America can take the action against Iran's nuclear infrastructure to a more serious level.

Trump said that America is aware of the activities taking place in Pickaxe Mountain and other parts of Iran. He gave a clear warning that if the situation worsens, America will retaliate and the attack will be very strong.
The US President also claimed that Iran has not been able to acquire nuclear weapons because of the military campaign conducted in the last several months. According to him, if America had not intervened, the threat to Israel, the Middle East and Europe as well as America could have increased.
Trump's statement has come at a time when the US Central Command has informed about the recent attacks against Iran. According to the US Army, in these operations targets associated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were targeted.
These are said to include air defense systems, radar installations, maritime military resources, mine laying capability and communication bases. The US says that this action was taken after alleged attacks against commercial ships and American soldiers in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump claimed that the US military has destroyed Iran's state-of-the-art radar system twice. He said they too were targeted in US strikes after Iran deployed new radars.
Iran has strongly condemned the US military action. Tehran has accused the US of violating its sovereignty and targeting military and civilian targets in several areas. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, its military has retaliated against US military bases in West Asia.
