World News: In a major crackdown, the US investigative agency FBI has arrested eight Indian-origin gangsters and terrorists who had been on the run from Indian authorities. These individuals were involved in various criminal and terrorist activities in India. Among those arrested is a close associate of a notorious Khalistani terrorist, which makes the case even more significant.

Strong Step Against Terrorism and Organized Crime

This is one of the first large-scale actions by the FBI against criminals who had been hiding in the US after fleeing India. These arrests are being seen as a strong move toward strengthening cooperation between India and the United States in fighting terrorism and organized crime.

Key Accused Linked to Khalistani Network

The most well-known name among the arrested is Pavitar Batala, a wanted gangster from Punjab. He is a close aide of Lakhbir Singh Rode, a top Khalistani terrorist. Pavitar was associated with Babbar Khalsa International and played a key role in several terror activities in Punjab. India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) had already filed a charge sheet against him.

Carried Out Criminal Acts from the US

According to Indian intelligence agencies, all these accused had illegally entered the US and continued their criminal operations from there. They were involved in contract killings, arms supply, and issuing threats in India through their organized network.

Major Step for India’s National Security

Many gangsters like Goldie Brar, Anmol Bishnoi, and Rohit Godara have been staying in the US for the past few years. These criminals often misuse US laws to avoid extradition after being arrested. However, this recent action by the FBI is being seen as a major breakthrough in dismantling such networks, which is crucial for India’s national security.
