Operation to Wipe Out Hamas: US President Donald Trump's new peace plan for Gaza has now reached Hamas, and it is being considered. The widespread support for the plan has increased pressure on Hamas to accept it.

A No-Win Situation for Hamas

According to Trump, Hamas is in trouble under any circumstances. Accepting the plan will endanger the organization's existence, and failing to do so could lead to its eventual elimination by Israel and the United States. Trump indicated this at a press conference in Washington on Monday night.

He said Hamas has three to four days to accept the plan. The consequences of rejection will be severe. The plan aims to end the conflict in Gaza that has been ongoing for the past two years. Mediators Qatar and Egypt have handed Hamas leaders a copy of Trump's 20-point plan.

Hamas will not surrender its weapons

The plan demands Hamas permanently withdraw from power in Gaza and surrender its weapons. However, Hamas has always rejected this expectation and said that they will not leave their weapon before the establishment of an independent Palestinian nation.

Arab countries supported the proposal

Trump stated that Arab countries supported the proposal, which means it could be beneficial for Palestinians. However, sources close to Hamas describe it as biased in favor of Israel. It imposed impossible conditions on Hamas. On the condition of anonymity, a Palestinian officer said that the scheme has been prepared according to the interests of Israel, and there is no special benefit for the Palestinians.

Hostage and Prisoner Exchange

According to the plan, Israel will release 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences in exchange for its living hostages. Additionally, 1,700 Palestinians arrested after October 7, 2023, will also be released. Israel will return 15 dead Palestinians in exchange for dead hostages.

Israeli operations continue in Gaza

The Israeli military operation in Gaza City continued on Tuesday. Tanks and ground troops advanced into the city and are conducting operations. Thirty-one people were killed in airstrikes and ground operations on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll to over 66,000.
