Technical proficiency, diversity, inclusiveness and awareness of social issues are its main identity. Nearly half of the Generation Z people in America come from racial and ethnic minority communities and are more open to embracing LGBTQ+ identity than previous generations.
Generation Z is considered to be very practical from an economic point of view. This generation has seen economic instability in its childhood and youth. From the recession of 2008 to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is why it is more cautious, financially aware and ahead in making long-term plans. According to reports, by 2025, more than half of the Generation Z working people consider an annual income of 50 thousand to 1 lakh dollars sufficient for a stable life. The special thing about this generation is that this generation starts saving at an average age of 19 and invests about 20 percent of its income.

College admissions have also increased again after the pandemic. However, despite the high interest in STEM subjects, the number of students pursuing careers is limited. This generation is very vocal on social issues. Climate change, racial equality, access to healthcare and mental health are major concerns for them.
Surveys show that more than 80 percent of Generation Z are concerned about the climate crisis and demand strict policies. This generation also openly discusses mental health and considers it a crisis in American society. Generation Z is at the forefront in terms of technology. 98 percent of people have a smartphone and 95 percent are active on social media. Online shopping, product search and digital learning are part of their everyday life. This is why companies are now designing their products and services with a mobile-first approach.
