Tragedy on US Vacation: Hyderabad Family of 4 Killed After Car Collides with Truck

A heartbreaking accident in the United States has claimed the lives of a family of four from Hyderabad, India. The family—Tejaswini, Sree Venkat, and their two children—were on a vacation in Dallas when their vehicle was hit by a truck, causing it to burst into flames.

Accident Occurred During Return Trip from Atlanta

According to sources, the family had just visited relatives in Atlanta and were on their way back when the tragedy occurred. The collision with a truck was so severe that their vehicle caught fire, and sadly, none of the family members survived the crash. Efforts are now being made to bring their remains back to Hyderabad, where family and friends are preparing for the last rites.

Two Indian Students Killed in New York Crash

In another devastating incident, two Indian students studying in the U.S. also lost their lives in a separate road accident in New York. The students, identified as 20-year-old Manav Patel and 23-year-old Saurav Prabhakar, were studying at Cleveland State University.

The crash occurred on May 10 in East Cocalico Township, as confirmed by the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. Saurav Prabhakar was driving the car at the time of the accident. Both he and Manav Patel died at the scene. A third person, who was sitting in the front seat, sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Footage Shows Vehicle Losing Control

Security camera footage revealed that the car lost control, hit a tree, and then crashed into a bridge. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The Indian Consulate in New York expressed condolences on social media, saying, “Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate road accident in which two Indian students from Cleveland State University, Manav Patel and Saurav Prabhakar, lost their lives.”
