Tharoor in Panama: India’s Counter-Terrorism Message Echoes on the Global Stage

A powerful all-party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi arrived in Greece on Tuesday. Welcoming the delegation at the Athens airport, Indian Ambassador Rudraendra Tandon described the visit as an important effort to make India's voice heard on the world stage.

Main objective of the delegation

The delegation wants to directly interact with European leaders, parliamentarians, and media to share information about the threat of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and India's recent 'Operation Sindoor' in a transparent manner. It was this operation that destroyed the terrorist hideouts hidden across the border. 

Russia and Slovenia called terrorism an 'enemy of civilization.'

India's former EU Ambassador Manjiv Singh Puri said that countries like Russia and Slovenia have clearly supported India's stand. Puri said, "When the Slovenian delegation called terrorism the 'cancer of the modern world,' it was not just words but a global warning." He stressed that now the time has come when the world will have to take decisive steps, not just make statements.

Shashi Tharoor explained India's policy in Panama

On his visit to Panama's National Assembly, Shashi Tharoor shared India's anti-terrorism policy and experience against extremism. This delegation is communicating not only with the political leadership but also with the local media, strategic analysts, NRIs, and friends of India.

India is not afraid of nuclear threats

On Tuesday, India's representatives made it clear on the world stage that India will not accept any kind of nuclear blackmailing. If any country promotes terrorism under the guise of nuclear weapons, India will not spare it. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said in his official statement, "Team India has shown that we are united against terrorism, and now the limits of tolerance have ended."

India's strong voice from Singapore too

Continuing political outreach, JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, while meeting Singapore's senior minister Sim Ann, clearly said, "India will now respond to terrorist attacks not just by investigation but by action. We do not believe in any difference between terrorists and their patrons."
