New Delhi: Pakistan, notorious as the factory of terrorism and the biggest hideout of terrorists all over the world, has instead accused India of spreading terrorism. A senior advisor related to Pakistan's nuclear weapons has said that India is supporting groups like TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) inside Pakistan.

Advisor to Pakistan's National Command Authority (NCA) Lieutenant General (Retired) Mazhar Jameel says that India is implementing Doval Doctrine to create instability in Pakistan.

Pakistani advisor accuses India

The Pakistani adviser made the remarks while speaking at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London on October 13. Jameel accused India of supporting terrorism, citing its support for the Mukti Bahini in then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1971 and the LTTE in the 1980s.

Lies spread about Operation Sindoor

In his speech, filled with Pakistani propaganda and lies, Jameel even claimed that India used dual-capability BrahMos missiles during Operation Sindoor. Dual-capability means these missiles can carry both nuclear and conventional warheads. However, this claim is completely false, as BrahMos missiles can only carry conventional warheads. They are not part of India's Strategic Command Force. Mazhar

Jameel served as Director General of the Strategic Plans Division, the Pakistan Army's nuclear weapons handling unit, from 2015 to 2017. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that India had brought South Asia to the brink of nuclear disaster and gave Pakistan full credit for handling the situation.

India and First Strike Capability

Pakistan's nuclear adviser cited a recent assessment by Swedish think tank SIPRI, which stated that India is moving toward a first-strike capability by deploying nuclear submarine-launched missiles. First-strike capability is when a country is prepared to launch a nuclear attack first. Jameel claimed that India has integrated some nuclear warheads with submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

India's nuclear policy was called a sham

India has adopted a policy of no first use of nuclear weapons in its nuclear doctrine. At the UNGA's First Committee on Nuclear Affairs meeting this week, India reiterated its policy of credible minimum nuclear deterrence and stated that its policy on nuclear weapons is one of no first use. However, Zameen called India's no first use policy a diplomatic ploy aimed solely at gaining applause.

Jameel claimed that India's former National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon had stated on record that India's nuclear policy was flexible enough to include first-strike options. Shivshankar Menon is considered the architect of India's nuclear policy. Although Menon did not draft India's nuclear policy, he discussed the option of first strike in a 2017 book. It is worth noting that Menon used the term "first strike," while India's policy is "no first use." The two are completely different things.
