Relations between the two nations were strained again after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Imam Abdul Aziz Ghazi, in a report by the media, accused in Islamabad's Lal Masjid that atrocities against Muslims are being committed in Pakistan more than in any other country. Defence Secretary invites PM Modi

New Delhi: Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the context of heightened tension between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. The meeting was presided over by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh. Singh's meeting with Prime Minister Modi follows a day after they are said to have discussed the security situation.

Targets and timings to retaliate against the Pahalgam terror attack

Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi on Saturday updated the prime minister on the overall situation of key sea lanes in the Arabian Sea. Prime Minister Modi, during a high-level meeting with senior defence officials last Tuesday, had given the armed forces "full operational freedom" to determine the modalities, targets and timings to retaliate against the Pahalgam terror attack. At least 26 individuals were killed in the attack.
